FreeCell Sunrise

Four free cells, eight columns, and every card face up from the first move. FreeCell is the solitaire where nothing is hidden, so almost every deal can be won if you think it through. Dealt on the same sunny table as Solitaire Sunrise.

• Daily Deal: one hand a day, the same for every player, always winnable
• The classic numbered deals, from #1 to #32,000: pick one, or get a surprise
• Move a whole run in one go when you have the free cells for it
• Unlimited undo, hints that know the way through, and cards that go home on their own
• The Sunrise card backs, and a mellow late-morning soundtrack of its own

The goal

Move all 52 cards to the four foundations, top right. Each foundation builds up in one suit, from ace to king.

Moves

• In the columns, build down in alternating colours: a red 7 on a black 8.
• Any card can go into an empty column.
• Each free cell, top left, holds a single card.
• You can pick up the top card of a column, or a run of cards already going down in alternating colours.
• The longest run you can move is one more than your empty free cells, doubled for each empty column. An empty column you are moving into doesn't count.
• Cards on a foundation stay there.
• Cards go home by themselves once nothing else could need them. When every column runs downhill, press Finish to send the rest home.

Controls

• Tap or click a card to send it to its best spot. Tap it again within two seconds to try the next one.
• Drag cards to put them exactly where you want.
• Undo and Hint are on screen. On a keyboard, press U or Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on a Mac) to undo, and H for a hint.
• If a run is too long to move, the cards shake and the game tells you how many you can move.

Modes

• New deal plays a random numbered deal. Type a number into the menu to play that one.
• Daily Deal changes at midnight UTC. Its calendar marks each day you win with a crown, and wins on consecutive days build your streak.
• Each mode has its own leaderboard.

Scoring

• 10 points for every card that reaches a foundation.
• A time bonus when you win. The faster, the bigger. The clock starts on your first move.
• 1,000 more for a win with no undo and no hint.
