Nova Strike

Choose your ship and fight through twelve hostile sectors in a vertical arcade shooter with painted space backdrops and glowing weapons. Your guns fire automatically, leaving you to dodge incoming fire, line up attacks and decide when to spend a screen-clearing nova bomb.

Fly Needle for focused fire, Fan for a wide spread, or Orbit for guided shots. Collect weapon upgrades and pick up temporary wingmen along the way. Striker adds covering fire, Miner helps clear asteroid storms, and Guardian intercepts nearby bullets.

Four announced waves lead to each sector's guardian. Dismantle gun emplacements to expose protected cores, watch for openings in shields and adapt as bosses change attack phases. The route takes you past ringed planets, a shattered moon and an occupied orbital city before the final encounter with the Aurora Phoenix.

Take on Standard mode, choose Assist for slower action and optional automatic nova bombs, or practise any sector or boss from the start. Play with keyboard, mouse, touch or a standard browser-mapped controller.

Adjust the glow, switch on the optional CRT filter or use reduced motion. Music and sound effects have separate switches. Progress and high scores are saved locally in your browser.
